TSLPRB APP Recruitment 2025 – has notified a total of 118 vacancies for the post of Assistant Public Prosecutors (Category – 6) in Telangana State Prosecution Service. The scale of pay is Rs. 54,220 – 1,33,630. These vacancies are tentative and subject to change without notice.
The vacancies are distributed on a Multi-Zonal basis (Multi Zone I and Multi Zone II) and categorized into Direct Recruitment (95 vacancies) and Limited Recruitment (Backlog – 23 vacancies). Limited Recruitment vacancies are to be filled only with local candidates of the respective Multi Zone.

Eligibility Criteria for TSLPRB APP Notification 2025
- Educational Qualification : Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB/BL) awarded by any University in India established or incorporated under a Central Act, Provincial Act, State Act, or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), or an equivalent qualification.
- Candidates who have passed a five-year Law course after Intermediate are also eligible.
- Experience Requirement: Active practice as an Advocate for not less than three (3) years in Criminal Courts in the State of Telangana as on the date of Notification (15th August 2025). Non-local candidates (as per Presidential Order 2018) with such experience in Telangana Criminal Courts can apply under the 5% unreserved quota based on merit.
Medical Standards: Sound health, free from bodily defects or infirmities unfit for service. Candidates with impaired speech, hearing, sight, stammering, or stuttering are ineligible.
Age Limit for TSLPRB APP Notification 2025
- A candidate must not have attained the age of 34 years as on 1st July 2025.
- Additional relaxation of 12 years (as per GO Ms No. 30, General Administration (Services-A) Department dated 08-02-2024) for direct recruitment, making the effective upper age limit 46 years for general candidates.

- SCs, STs, BCs, EWS – 5 Years
- NCC Instructors (minimum 6 months service) -3 years + length of service rendered
- Ex-Servicemen (Indian Army/Navy/Air Force) -3 years + length of service rendered
- Telangana State Government Employees (length of regular service, max 5 years) -Up to 5 years
- Orthopaedically Handicapped – 10 Years
Examination Pattern and Syllabus for TSLPRB APP Notification 2025
The selection involves a Written Examination in two papers (each of 3 hours duration), both in English only. Total marks: 400.
Paper I (Objective Type): 200 marks for 200 multiple-choice questions.
- Mode: Online or Offline (OMR-based). If offline, use blue/black ballpoint pen.
- Marking: Full marks for correct answer; 0 for no answer; -25% (negative marking) for wrong answer.
- If questions are deleted, marks are proportionately awarded (up to 3 decimal places).
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% for OC/EWS; 35% for BCs; 30% for SCs/STs/OH.
- Paper I is evaluated first; only qualifiers proceed to Paper II evaluation.
Paper II (Descriptive Type): 200 marks.
- Emphasis on Pleading and Drafting.
- Answer in question-cum-answer booklet using blue/black pen.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% for OC/EWS; 35% for BCs; 30% for SCs/STs/OH..
- Candidates must qualify in both papers to be considered for selection.
Final Selection: Based on aggregate marks (Paper I + II) following reservations and merit. First 5% posts filled from combined merit list (non-local possible), remaining 95% for local candidates only. Tie-breaker: Older candidate preferred.

- Special Emphasis for Paper II: Pleading and Drafting.
