DRDO CEPTAM 11 Recruitment 2025 Apply Online!

Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India has initiated the CEPTAM-11 recruitment drive through the Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM). Eligibility Criteria:

Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B): Candidates must possess a diploma in Engineering or Technology in relevant fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Civil from an accredited institution, achieving a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA. 

Technician-A (Tech-A): Applicants are required to have an ITI certificate, which entails completing the 10th grade followed by two years of ITI training in applicable trades like Fitter, Welder, Electrician, or Machinist from institutes recognized by NCVT or SCVT.

Pay Scale:

The pay structure established by the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC) for the Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, while the Technician-A (Tech-A) position offers a salary between ₹19,900 and ₹63,200.

Post-Wise Details:

The recruitment technical positions within DRDO labs and units throughout India  offering a total of 764 vacancies. This includes 561 openings for the Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) role and 203 for the Technician-A (Tech-A) position.

Age Limit:

The age requirement for the positions of Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) and Technician-A (Tech-A) is set between 18 and 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable in accordance with the current Government of India regulations  which provide for extensions such as 5 years for candidates from SC/ST categories, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for individuals with disabilities in the general category.

Selection Process:

The selection process outlined in the detailed advertisement follows the standard procedures established by DRDO CEPTAM. It consists of two tiers:

Tier-I: The first tier is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) featuring objective-type questions that assess General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, and, for STA-B candidates, Subject-Specific Knowledge or, for Tech-A candidates, Trade Knowledge.

Tier-II: The second tier varies by position; STA-B candidates will undergo a Skill/Trade Test or an Advanced Subject Test, while Tech-A candidates will participate in a Practical Trade Test.

Document Verification and a Medical Examination: There are no interviews and selection is based solely on exam scores. While negative marking is generally not applied it is advisable to verify this in the detailed notice. The examination will be conducted in a bilingual format, available in both English and Hindi.
