TG-SET Notification 2025!

Telangana State Eligibility Test (TG SET) 2025 is organized by Osmania University on behalf of the Telangana State government. This examination assesses the eligibility of candidates for the roles of Assistant Professor and Lecturer in various universities and colleges throughout Telangana. It is considered equivalent to the UGC NET and is conducted annually for individuals holding postgraduate degrees.

Eligibility Criteria:

Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories) from a recognized university in a relevant subject. Final-Year Students: Candidates pursuing or awaiting results for their Master’s degree can apply.The Eligibility for Assistant Professor will depend on the performance of the candidate in both the papers of SET in aggregate. The candidates who qualify the Test for eligibility for Assistant Professor will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned Universities/Colleges/State Government.

Age Limit:

No upper age limit.

Scheme of Test:

The examination will comprise two papers, each containing solely objective-type questions. Both papers will be conducted in a single session with a total duration of three hours.

Paper – I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper – II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

The candidates may pay the examination fee either by Credit Card / Debit Card/UPI/Net Banking, the additional processing charges as applicable will also be debited from the Credit Card /Debit Card/UPI/Net Banking of the candidate.
