SSC Sub-Inspector Notification 2025!
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is responsible for recruiting Sub-Inspectors (SI) in the Delhi Police through the SSC Central Police Organizations (CPO) examination. This recruitment presents a significant opportunity for graduates aiming to serve in the Delhi Police or the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). On 26 September 2025, the SSC announced the release of the 2025 notification, which details a total of 3,073 available SI positions, including roles within both the Delhi Police and CAPFs. Notably, around 212 of these vacancies are designated for the SI (Executive) role specifically within the Delhi Police.

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age Limit:
20–25 years as of August 1, 2025 (born not earlier than August 2, 2000, and not later than August 1, 2005). Relaxations apply:
- OBC: +3 years
- SC/ST: +5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period deducted from actual age
- Other categories as per government norms.
Selection Process:
The recruitment process consists of several key stages.
Paper-I (Tier-I): which is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising objective questions worth a total of 200 marks, to be completed within 2 hours. This test includes sections on General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension, each contributing 50 marks, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
Physical Standards (for Delhi Police SI):
- Male: Height 170 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for certain categories); Chest 80–85 cm.
- Female: Height 157 cm (relaxable by 2.5 cm for certain categories).
Following this, candidates must pass the Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Endurance Test (PET), which are qualifying assessments involving various physical activities such as running and jumping.
Paper-II (Tier-II): another CBT focused on English Language & Comprehension, also worth 200 marks and lasting 2 hours.
Finally candidates will undergo a medical examination and document verification to complete the selection process.
Payscale:
The salary structure for this position falls under Level-6 with a pay range of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 as per the 7th Pay Commission. In addition to the base salary, employees are entitled to various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA), which collectively result in an approximate in-hand salary of ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 at the outset.
