CBSE Recruitment Notification 2025 Out!
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education of the Government of India, has issued a notice regarding direct recruitment to fill 124 provisional vacancies across Group A, B, and C positions through an All India Competitive Examination. The number of vacancies and the associated reservations may fluctuate according to administrative requirements and the guidelines set by the Government of India.
Posts Details:
Assistant Secretary: 8 vacancies distributed as follows: 1 for SC, 3 for OBC NCL, 1 for EWS, and 3 for UR, including 1 for PwBD. The role of Assistant Professor &
Assistant Director: 12 vacancies, comprising 2 for SC, 1 for ST, 2 for OBC NCL, 1 for EWS, and 6 for UR.
Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Training): 8 vacancies, with 1 for SC, 2 for OBC NCL, and 5 for UR.
Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Skill Education): 7 vacancies, including 1 for SC, 1 for OBC NCL, and 5 for UR, along with 1 for PwBD.
Accounts Officer: 2 vacancies, both for UR.
Superintendent: 27 vacancies, with 4 for SC, 2 for ST, 7 for OBC NCL, 2 for EWS, 12 for UR, and 1 for PwBD.
Junior Translation Officer: 9 vacancies, including 1 for SC, 1 for ST, 2 for OBC NCL, 5 for UR, and 1 for PwBD.
Junior Accountant: 16 vacancies, with 3 for SC, 1 for ST, 4 for OBC NCL, 1 for EWS, 7 for UR, 1 for PwBD, and 5 for ESM.
Junior Assistant: 35 vacancies, comprising 5 for SC, 3 for ST, 10 for OBC NCL, 3 for EWS, 14 for UR, and 1 for PwBD.

Eligibility:
Educational qualifications for various positions are as follows:
Assistant Secretary: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
Assistant Professor and Assistant Director: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University.
Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Commerce, Accounts, Finance, Business Studies, or Cost Accounting or a Post Graduate degree in MBA in Finance, CA, ICWA.
Superintendent: Bachelor’s Degree and proficiency in computer applications (Windows, MS-Office, databases, and internet) are required.
Junior Translation Officer: Master’s Degree in Hindi or English, with the other as a compulsory or elective subject, or a Master’s in any subject with Hindi/English specified along with a recognized Diploma or Certificate in Hindi-English translation or three years of relevant experience.
Junior Accountant: requires completion of the 12th Class with subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Business Administration, Taxation, or Cost Accounting.
Junior Assistant: 12th Class or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Selection Procedure:
The selection process for various posts is structured into distinct tiers.
Group A Roles: Candidates undergo a three-tier system starting with a preliminary screening based on multiple-choice questions (MCQs), followed by an objective and descriptive written main examination, and concluding with an interview.
Group B Roles: Superintendent and Junior Translation Officer, follow a similar format but include a qualifying typing speed test after the written exams.
Group C Roles: Which include Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant the selection begins with an MCQ-based exam followed by a written main exam and also requires a typing speed test for qualification. It is important to note that candidates from reserved categories may benefit from relaxed standards, and those shortlisted will need to present their certificates during the verification process.
Age Limit:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old as of 22 December 2025. The maximum age limits for various positions are as follows 35 years for Assistant Secretary and Accounts Officer 30 years for Assistant Professor, Assistant Director (all variants), Superintendent, and Junior Translation Officer, and 27 years for Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant. There are provisions for age relaxations, including an additional 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC NCL (Central List), and up to 15 years for PwBD candidates depending on their category. Age eligibility is determined based on the Matriculation certificate.
Salary Details:
The pay scale ₹78,000 – 85,000 is categorized into three distinct groups. Group A, which includes positions such as Assistant Secretary, Assistant Professor/Director variants, and Accounts Officer, is assigned to Level-10 according to the 7th Central Pay Commission . The pay scale ₹50,000 – 55,000 Group B roles Superintendent and Junior Translation Officer which fall under Level-6. The pay scale ₹38,000 – 42,000 Group C consists of Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant positions classified at Level-2.
